The goal for this project was to design a book about Black Heritage in Racing based upon the Kentucky Derby Museum exhibit. After going to the Kentucky Derby Museum and gathering photos/information, the book was created in order to highlight those Black trainers, jockeys, and horsemen. This book carries seriousness and curiosity as it speaks about the history from the 1800's to the 20th century. With the use of images with slight illustrative lines to bring out certain elements, it helps with creating these connections from image to the text on the spread.
