This project had the requirement of researching and a lot of thumbnail sketching. Before starting on this project, we looked for graphic designers who were inspirational to us and then it led us to listening to podcasts from each of those designers. My three designers were Keisha Okafor, Timothy Goodman, and Jin Kim. This allowed us to carry it out to sketching thumbnails where we did a sprint for different topics/themes for layouts for a booklet. Each of their spreads include their own lettering and elements from their work. This allows for there to be more of a personality and care for the designers and how they are seen as inspirations/heroes, which was the goal of creating this book.
